Carolyn currently looks after my 10month old baby boy, from the first day we met Carolyn we instantly felt at ease. She is very professional & she doesn't miss a beat, she helps us with his routine & makes me home made delicious food & even gives us the recipes for the ones he loves most! We got recommended to Carolyn by multiple people. The difference between Carolyn & our previous child care provider was huge, she is amazing & you can see how much she loves children & how much pride she takes in her job. She has restored our faith! I get regular updates whilst I'm at work about how my little one is doing, activities he has done, every day I'm itching to go on my break to see the fun things he has done. She helps him develop his skills & keeps us informed of things she has observed. He lights up when he sees her! I don't know what I would do without Carolyn, her & her Mum are so lovely & caring & I couldn't think of anyone better to leave my son with. Carolyn (Little Explorers Childminding) has been fantastic in the 6 months that she has looked after our two daughters so far (now aged 1 and 3yr) . The girls settled in very quickly thanks to her warm, welcoming and child friendly demeanour. One of the reasons for choosing l.e.c was the caring, calm and respectful approach taken with all children. Carolyn is efficient and professional with the business side of things and is very knowledgeable about the EYFS. It's important to us that our daughters have a balanced diet and have a healthy interest and involvement in preparing and enjoying meals. Another positive note is that Carolyn takes the children walking everywhere around our home village, enjoying lots of outdoor activities as well as participating in toddler groups such as Music group and going to the library - essentially doing many of the things we did before I went back to my work. I would happily recommend her to anyone looking for reliable, caring childcare who is very understanding about how hard it feels leaving your children when you have to go to work !

My son has been with Carolyn for several months and I am extremely happy with the care he gets. I feel happy knowing that my child is secure and safe and well looked after. Carolyn is highly professional in her approach and  utterly trustworthy and reliable.  Her home is a happy, warm and caring environment and I am confident that my son gets the best possible before and after school care there.  Whenever I pick him up, he always tells me about the different crafts and activities he has been doing and the lovely healthy snacks he has enjoyed.  The atmosphere in the house is always lovely and Carolyn is a very calm and gentle person, full of common sense and firm when necessary.

Carolyn has looked after all of our 3 children from being tiny babies, and continues to do so now our eldest is at school. The children are always welcomed warmly into her family home, and Carolyn has a lovely way of interacting with children, putting them at ease. Every day is different, filled with an array of often spontaneous activities, usually led by the children. Importantly Carolyn seems to get to know the children very well and can support them appropriately in their endeavours.

Our children usually leave with fun stories about their day. It is reassuring to be able to leave the children in an environment which is stimulating, fun and safe and where they are happy and we are grateful to Carolyn for the support she gives to our family.

The practitioner used every opportunity in free play for educational interaction, learning and development. She has many turn taking conversations with the children, she responds positively and when required adds more words e.g.” would you like a red tomato? “ to encourage language development. She consistently modelled good social skills. She is calm and gentle with the children and this then encourages the children to be gentle and respectful with each other.
