Welcome to July

Holidays

Please remember we are going on holiday soon current parents the dates we will be closed will be sent to you via email. Unlike some childminders we do not charge if we are closed. If you receive any help with your childcare cost you may need to inform them that you are not paying during this time.

Please note that full fees are still due for your child's contracted days whilst you are on holiday, if you receive any help with childcare cost you can still claim whilst you are away as you are still paying full fees.

Payments

May I remind you that monthly invoices are to be paid in advance on the last Friday of the month for the following month.

Weekly invoices are due in advance on Friday for the following week. If you are paying weekly please may you put the week you are paying for as a reference. For example if you are paying for the first week of July please state WC 3/7/17.

From September we will no longer be accepting payments by cash please pay directly into the Little Explorers Childminding bank account. Details can be found on each invoice. Any payment corrections will be made on your next invoice.

Footwear

Please can we remind you that we go out walking most days, and opened-toed sandals and flip flops or Jelly type shoes are not ideal for walking long distances in, and objects can easily get inside open shoes and cause injuries to your child's feet. Your child is still more than welcome to come in these shoes but if they do please could you ensure they also bring a pair of 'walking shoes'

Clothing

The weather is getting nicer and it is so lovely to see all the children in their summer clothes, however please may I advise you that you may not want to dress your child in their best clothes as we do messy activities everyday, and despite using bibs aprons and full splash suits it is possible that your child's clothes may still get dirty or stained.

This Month Plans

During the first week of July we will be finishing our 'Down in the Jungle' theme, and celebrating American Independence Day.

We will then be moving on to our theme of holidays, as most children will be going on holiday some time over the next few weeks.

Summer holiday club

We already have a few booking for our summer holiday club. If you would like a place for your child please let me know as soon as possible as we have limited availability.
